Wow! What a week! 3 bubbles burst and bubble online learning implemented.

As you know, we have had to close Year 1, Year 3 and Year 4 this week – our first bubble closures since the return in September. All our planning for this meant that we were able to communicate quickly to parents and ensure learning started promptly from day 1 of self-isolation.

Thank you for all the supportive messages we have received about how we are dealing with the current situation and how much you are appreciating the remote learning lessons. We are receiving a huge amount of work from children who are self-isolating – well done all.

We have also been able to rapidly deploy some additional school Ipads for children to borrow while self-isolating, meaning that no child is disadvantaged due to the bubble closures.

Once we have the Ipad scheme up and running by Christmas, this will ensure even more efficient remote learning can take place instantly should we need to shut a bubble in the future.

We know Y3 missed out on the animal man this week, so we are rearranging this for them.

There is lots of information in this update so please take a look.

There is also a very short parent survey to complete by all families please which will help us target support.

To all the year 1 and year 3 children still self-isolating, take care and remember to stay in the house!

EVERYONE: Please remember to message me on DOJO / email: s.guest@colebourne.bham.sch.uk if anyone develops symptoms over the weekend or gets tested / tests positive! This means we can take prompt action, where needed.

I wish you all a restful weekend.
