Firstly, I hope you are all well. We are once again in the home learning situation. We have a range of lessons that will be delivered either through live Zoom lessons or using other platforms. Where you can, please ensure your child is accessing these as this will help keep their learning moving forward.

We can also help with technology, phone data, and broadband so please see the sections later in this update for details.

Please also talk to your children about the current situation. We have lots of children asking why they are not at school and when they will return. Watching NEWSROUND together is a good way to keep the children informed about what is happening.

Hodge Hill has seen an 128% increase in cases and the current rate is 836 per 100,000 people, which is above the national average and the highest in the local area.

Please ensure you are limiting your movements wherever possible and staying at home and following the guidance issued for this lockdown.

Over the Christmas break we had several children, parents, and staff test positive and this has included people having to be in intensive care. We all need to do our part to reduce transmission so that we can help keep each other safe and ultimately get schools back open for all children.

For those of you who are key workers and supporting learning from home – thank you for all that you are doing to support the community; I will be thinking of you as I clap each Thursday evening!
