Welcome!

Hello and welcome to Gilbertstone!

As if 2008 – 2009 wasn’t busy enough, 2009 – 2010 promises to be even more exciting, as we launch our brand new Forest School.

Last year we were improving our learning through our new interactive whiteboards and brand new ICT Suite, and we also have been on lots of  learning journeys on 'Gilbert the Bus' (our metaphor for creative, exciting learning) .  Even Ofsted dropped in last February and they could see how hard we were working and how well standards are improving as we reach for the stars!

So, this year its on with the wellies and outside to our very own rural paradise.  After two years of hard work obtaining planning permission, raising funds,  erecting fencing,  clearing rubbish……..our very own Forest School Teacher has even built a class sized teepee so our learning can take on a whole new dimension.

Come over and see what we are so excited about!

Warmest wishes,

 Mrs Ceri Crosskey, Headteacher.
