My first summer holiday challenge is in 2 parts and they are both to do with reading. There will be a new challenge  each week

To complete challenge 1 you must complete both parts:

1. Sign up for ‘The Big Friendly Read’ at a Birmingham library. (Ward End Library on the Washwood Heath Road) The Challenge asks 4-11 year olds to borrow and read at least six library books over the summer. This year’s Challenge is delivered in collaboration with The Roald Dahl Literary Estate to celebrate 100 years of the world’s favourite storyteller.

You can find more information by visiting the Birmingham libraries website

2. Visit Ward End Library and have a photo taken with the Colebourne Bench (part of The Big Read) email the photo to me: s.guest@colebourne.bham.sch.uk and I’ll post a few of them here!

Keep any photos or items that you make as part of these challenges and bring them to show me in September.

The next challenge will be posted next week in the blog section (bottom of the home page or in the blog link)
