On the 21st of September 2017 , year 5 and year 6 had a training session about keeping healthy and safe . We discussed about drugs, cigarettes and keeping our bodies in good condition. We took a quiz about smoking. We learnt that 3% of people in secondary school smoke cigarettes and that when you smoke, 4,000 chemicals enter your body. We learnt that the legal age to smoke is 18.
After we looked more about smoking , we found out about powerful chemicals such as ammonia which bleaches things so it is normally used with toilets . We also learnt when you do smoke the heart and the lungs turn black; the heart and the lungs are the most affected place that are harmed when smoking . The cigarette drug is called Nicotine and it is used in every cigarette.
Over this experience myself, year 5 and year 6 have learnt many new things about all these topics .
