We have had so much fun with our theme topic this term. We were given £5 each by Virgin Money and the aim of the challenge was to create a business plan to help us make a profit. We got together in groups and thought about our target market and what would sell within school. We had lots of different ideas including: food, match attacks and old toys, ball holders, bracelets and chocolate covered fruit. Together we managed to make a whopping profit… £289.61 to be exact!!! We sold our products to other pupils in school. The match attacks were a best seller, this group managed to make the largest profit so a huge well done to these budding entrepreneurs.

Year 5 have decided to donate  50% of the money they have made, to charity. The teachers are so proud of them for their generosity and for, independently, making this decision(it had not been a part of the original plan!) The rest of the money will be used to pay for a fun day out…more pictures to come!
