Year 2 have been learning about poetry. This week they have looked at the poem, ‘The Sound Collector’ by Roger McGough. They used his poem as a starting point and then wrote their own poems in the same style. The purpose and audience was clear for the children; they were writing a poem to help the new reception children become familiar with noises in the school.
