On Friday 13th June, year 3 were using measures in different subjects across the curriculum. First of all we were given a recipe from Ug. Ug is a Boy Genius from the Stone Age. His recipe told us how to make 2 types of bread. We had to weigh out different quantities of ingredients to make plain bread and fruit bread. We measured in grams and millilitres. We also had to record the temperature of the oven.
To make sure our bread did not burn we had to look at the time when our bread went into the oven and calculate and record the time 20 minutes later.
In the afternoon, 3N went outside for PE, where we looked at distance and used stopwatches to record time.
